Let’s Make 2024 Our Year of Inspiration!
What inspires you? Fills you with feel-good motivation? Makes you believe in yourself and in others?
I’ve always found inspiration comes in many shapes, colors and sizes. It can be a person, place or thing — or action or experience — with an emotional pull. You feel it. It speaks to you! You want to do something as a result.
You can be inspired in so many ways. Maybe you hear how someone overcame a tough challenge. Maybe you’ve tuned into your core values, reminding yourself what’s really important to you. Or maybe you witness someone else’s determination — even a toddler taking her first steps.
Inspiration fuels our passions and moves us forward. It strengthens our resilience and confidence. It helps us stay on track. And best of all, it’s accessible to everyone.
In this year’s blog articles, let’s “Be Inspired” together! I plan to keep the theme of inspiration in the spotlight so we can explore the many ways to find and use it. Whether you’re a business owner, manager or individual, you can use or adapt these ideas to inspire yourself and other people — and contribute to a positive work environment.

By the way, one of my favorite ways to inspire is to share inspirational quotes. I’ve been collecting them for years.
I’ll highlight them even more this year as graphics you can save or share.
Keeping It Simple This Year
The last few years have taken their toll. We’re tired of feeling overwhelmed. And we’re ready to trade complicated for simple.

Fortunately, self-improvement doesn’t have to be complicated! In 2024, I’m getting back to the basics and keeping it simple. My blogs will be a bit shorter and will feature one Power Challenge for you to focus on for the month.
And… here’s your first challenge of the year!
Power Challenge: Find Your Sources of Inspiration
Inspiration is everywhere! Sometimes we just need to open our eyes to it — and embrace it.
This month, I encourage you to find your sources of inspiration. What lights a special spark in you? You’ll know it when you hear it or see it — because you’ll feel jazzed!
Whether you already have your go-to sources, or you’re starting from scratch, here are a few sources to consider:
- Books, especially memoirs
- Quotes (Instagram and Pinterest are chock full of them!)
- Great speeches (you can find many of them on the History Channel’s FamousSpeeches.com)
- Music, including song lyrics
- Art
- Poetry
- Faith-based sermons or readings
- Current events
Let your core values and priorities guide you in finding what works for you.
Once you begin to understand what inspires you, you can become even more intentional about creating your state of inspiration.
For example, when something lights a spark in you, pause to take it in deeply! You might even want to start a journal or keep a running list in a document devoted to your inspiration. Who knows, there may be a gray, rainy day when you’ll want to refer back to your journal or list for a little pick-me-up!
Let’s Be Inspired Together
Whether you’re hard at work on your 2024 goals or you’ve already slipped a bit off course, I want to inspire you to keep going! To walk the journey with you.
Let’s help each other grow by sharing our favorite sources of inspiration throughout the year.
May 2024 be the year that inspires us all to simply be our best!
